Pumas v Wallabies at Twickers?

The historic decision is one of many proposals put on the table at a meeting of the SANZAAR executives in Australia this week.

Carlos Araujo, President of Unión Argentina de Rugby, confirmed the move to Twickenham is one of the subjects on the SANZAAR agenda.

The Pumas' last appearance at the historic ground, Twickenham, was when they thrashed a star-studded Barbarians selection 49-31 in November.

They also lost 13-24 to South Africa in the World Cup third-place play-off at the same venue in October last year.

"Taking our game to this iconic venue is important to UAR and the game in Argentina," Araujo said of the game scheduled for Saturday, October 8.

The UAR boss believes it will benefit the Pumas to take their home game to this iconic venue and put their brand on display to another market.

"The Rugby Championship is undoubtedly one of the most important tournaments in the world and to take the event to the Northern Hemisphere, will allow us to be the 'home team' in the land where the sport was born."
