Argentina unveil Rugby Champs squad

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Argentina head coach Mario Ledesma has included six uncapped players in his extended squad ahead of Rugby Championship.

Ledesma took over in June after Daniel Hourcade's decision to step down after Los Pumas won just two of their last 17 games.

The new coach is clearly keen to add new faces to the system having named uncapped players Marco Ciccioli, Diego Fortuny, Lucas Favre, Mayco Vivas, Franco Molina and Santiago Grondon in the 36-man squad.

The extended squad are training in Buenos Aires before they open their Rugby Championship campaign against South Africa in Durban on August 18.

The side, which includes Agustin Creevy, Pablo Matera, Nicolas Sanchez and Emiliano Boffelli, will be eager not to emulate last season's Rugby Championship campaign where they failed to record a win in six matches.
