Player ratings: Job done for Pumas
Argentina didn't look to play a dynamic match and create any real excitement in their 25-7 win over Georgia, but were happy to secure safe passage fro Pool B to the quarterfinals.
A handful of the Pumas players looked willing to add some flair to what was a match without very much to write home about.
A scare just before half-time when Georgia took the lead helped to breath at least a little bit of life into the game in the second half.
Timmy Hancox rates the Argentinian players:
15 Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino:
Light on his feet and able to step past defenders at will with a willingness to attack from anywhere on the field.
7/10
14 Horacio Agulla:
Very limited opportunities and never really saw the ball out on the wing.
5/10
13 Marcelo Bosch:
Tackled hard and had a few good touches including a good pass to put Contepomi in space to score an important try.
7/10
12 Felipe Contepomi:
Missed first three shots at goal, but was the team's playmaker in midfield showing his toughness by playing through the pain of his rib injury.
7/10
11 Juan Jose Imhoff:
A strong runner and he broke the deadlock with the first try after a good hand off and some pace on the outside, while his well placed kick through also created the final try for Agustín Gosio.
8/10
10 Santiago Fernandez:
Wasn't able to put his stamp on the match and never really grabbed control of the game with far too many aimless kicks.
5/10
9 Nicolas Vergallo:
Added some energy where he could and looked to speed things up, although the Geogian packs slowed the ball well and prevented him from getting the quick service he would have liked.
6/10
8 Leonardo Senatore:
Was anonymous for most of the match and is struggling to fill the void left by Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe.
5/10
7 Juan Manuel Leguizamon:
A very good match and he was one of the few stand-out players who put his hand up and did some hard work at the breakdown.
8/10
6 Julio Farias Cabello:
His inside flip pass helped set up first try, while was also good as a ball carrier and forced his way over the advantage line on a number of occasions.
6/10
5 Patricio Albacete:
A tower of strength at times and dominated the line-outs without standing out in open play.
6/10
4 Mariano Galarza:
A big presence at the rucks and a drove the Georgians off the ball on a few occasions.
7/10
3 Juan Figallo:
Found his form in the second half and piled the pressure on the Georgian front row to bully his opposition in the scrums.
7/10
2 Mario Ledesma:
Fairly quiet by his standard, although he made his presence felt at several rucks and worked the line-outs well enough.
6/10
1 Marcos Ayerza:
Created a turnover, made some big tackles and was mobile around the park while being a valuable member of a strong scrum.
7/10
