Haskell to stay in hospital

Wasps captain James Haskell was set to remain under observation in hospital after suffering what was thought to be a viral infection.

The 29-year-old England flank missed Wasps' European Champions Cup opener against Leinster in Dublin last weekend after displaying flu-like symptoms.

In a statement, Wasps said: "Following deterioration overnight, he was admitted to hospital by the club doctor.

"Having undergone a series of tests, it is believed James is suffering from a viral infection.

"However, he will remain under observation in hospital and is expected to be discharged within the next couple of days."
