Samoan hooker escapes suspension

Samoan hooker Ti'i Paulo has escaped suspension, despite being found guilty of foul play in a November 9 tour match against Irish side Connacht.

A Six Nations disciplinary committee ruled Tuesday that it would not suspend Paulo, following his citing for two dangerous tackles, since neither were serious enough to warrant a red card.

Samoa lost the match 22-26.

The Six Nations disciplinary committee, chaired by Simon Thomas (Wales), heard two citing complaints against Paulo - for dangerous tackles contrary to Law 10.4 (e).

Samoa play England at Twickenham on Saturday.
