Former Sharks centre returns to SA

NEWS: Former Sharks centre Paul Jordaan is set to return to South Africa.

The 27-year-old has been released by his French club La Rochell and will return to South Africa.

Jordaan joined La Rochelle from the Sharks in 2016 and managed to make more than 38 appearances for the Top14 side during his three-year stay.

However this year, the utility back's continues injuries problems kept him out of action for most of the season and it eventually led both parties agreeing to an early release from his contract that would have run until 2021.

"La Rochelle and Paul Jordaan have agreed to release the player at the end of the sports season," the club said in a statement.

"We thank Paul for his seriousness and professionalism during his three seasons in Yellow and Black, and wish him the best for his return to South Africa,"

The 27-year-old is yet to confirm his future plans but took to Instagram to thank his French supporters.
