Clermont's Cudmore signs for Oyonnax
Cudmore, sidelined with injury since January, joined Clermont in 2005 and has become one of the team's key players and a fans' favourite.
The 37-year-old's contract includes the possibility of a two year extension.
"Very happy to have signed 2+2 years with OyyonaxRugby! A great project begins in 2016/17. A new adventure starts next year," he posted partly in French on his official Twitter page.
Cudmore's new club, struggling second from the foot of the Top 14 on 18 points, are destined to drop into ProD2 next season.
Cudmore fell out with Clermont after lashing out at the club's management following their European Champions Cup defeat to Bordeaux-Begles in January which left last year's runners-up exiting the tournament at the pool stage.
