Former Bok coach lures soccer trainer to France

South African Premier Soccer League club Orlando Pirates confirmed that they have 'parted ways' with their Strength and Conditioning coach Andre Volsteedt.

According to Orlando Pirates, they have "amicably" parted ways with Volsteedt.

Volsteedt, who spent three years at Bucs, will link up with Meyer at struggling French giants Stade Francais.

They previously worked together at the Bulls during Meyer's successful sting in Pretoria - which included winning the Super Rugby title in 2007.

"I would like to thank the Orlando Pirates family, the staff and especially the Chairman [Irvin Khoza] for the support and encouragement over the past two-and-a-half seasons at the club," Volsteedt told the club's website.

Apart from Meyer, other South Africans at the French club include Heinke van der Merwe, Willem Alberts and Morné Steyn.
