The club also announced French scrum-half Yann Lesgourgues had also re-signed for a further three years.

"I'm both happy and proud to announce these two gifted players have again shown their belief in our project by signing new contracts," club president Laurent Marti said.

Jones, the 26-year-old former Melbourne Rebels star, is the only player to have started all mid-table Bordeaux's five matches this season.
