LNR's Night of Rugby nominees

The Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR), the body responsible for running professional rugby in France, will be holding its eighth Night of Rugby on Monday, 28 November 2011 at the elegant former hunting lodge Pavillon d'Armenonville in central Paris. Awards will be made.

Some 700 officials, players, coaches, sponsors and journalists will gather to honour top performers in the Top 14 and the Pro D2.

The nominees:

Best newcomer: Rafael Lakafia (Biarritz), Jean-Marc Doussain (Toulouse), Geoffrey Palis (Albi).

Best Top 14 player: Maxime Médard (Toulouse), Morgan Parra (Clermont Auvergne), François Trinh-Duc (Montpellier).

Best Pro D2 player: Olé Avei (Bordeaux-Bègles), Xavier Sadourny (Lyon), Timoci Matanavou (Mont-de-Marsan, on loan from Toulouse).

Best Top 14 coaching staff: La Rochelle, Toulouse, Montpellier.

Best Pro D2 coaching staff: Lyon. Auch, Bordeaux-Bègles.

Best referee: Pascal Gauzere, Christophe Berdos, Romain Poite.
