Montpellier reveal Cotter's replacement
NEWS: Former French coach Philippe Saint-Andre was named as director of rugby at Top 14 side Montpellier.
Saint-Andre replaces Vern Cotter who had announced he was leaving to take charge of the Fiji national side.
Saint-Andre, 52, returns to the game more than four years after he left Les Bleus following the 62-13 mauling at the hands of the All Blacks in the 2015 World Cup quarter-finals.
"My role is to support the transformation of the club," said Saint-Andre.
New Zealander Cotter, 58, is leaving Montpellier three months early before starting his post as Fiji head coach in June.
Former France international Xavier Garbajosa replaced him as head coach at the start of this campaign as Cotter was moved to the director of rugby role.
Montpellier are currently in eighth place in the Top 14 table, four points behind Clermont who currently occupy the sixth and final play-off spot.
