Ntamack signs new four-year deal
NEWS: One of the rising stars of the French game, Romain Ntamack, has extended his contract with Toulouse for another four years until 2023, the Top 14 side announced on Friday.
The 19-year-old flyhalf or centre - son of former French international winger Emile Ntamack - was a key member of the France side that won the Under 20 World Cup in June, playing at centre.
Ntamack took his first steps in mini-rugby with Toulouse when he was only five. He made his Top 14 debut against Agen in September, 30 years after his father played his first senior game for the club.
Romain has made only five appearances so far, three of them as a starter.
Emile, capped 46 times for France, went on to play almost 400 games for the club, winning six French titles and three European Cups.
"It is entirely logical that he should want to continue his adventure with us. He is very attached to the club and the reverse is true as well," said club president Didier Lacroix.
"His father Emile ended his career playing 368 matches for us at the highest level in the first team.
"It is too early to say whether Romain will get near or even past that total, but he is on the right track as we have seen from his performances since the beginning of the season."
