Samoan star joins Clermont
Nanai-Williams, a try scorer in Samoa's 48-14 loss to England last weekend, moves to the French topflight from Waikato Chiefs in New Zealand.
The 28-year-old is Clermont's first recruit since the announced departures at the end of the season of Noa Nakaitaci, David Strettle and Scott Spedding, and the retirement of Aurelien Rougerie.
"It's the first good news in the construction of our squad for the coming seasons," Clermont sporting director Franck Azema said.
"We are convinced he's a player who is going to excel in our championship. His profile corresponds perfectly with our playing philosophy that we've been developing at Clermont for several seasons."
