Siya gives update after surgery
INJURY UPDATE: Two-time World Cup-winning Springbok captain Siya Kolisi expects to be back on the playing field 'soon'.
Kolisi posted an update on social media, after undergoing surgery for a hand injury picked up at the weekend.
Kolisi suffered the injury while playing for Racing 92 in their 5-21 Top 14 loss to Bordeaux this past Saturday.
Despite finishing the game, Kolisi then went under the knife.
"Operation went well!" Kolisi said, adding: "Will be back soon."
The French media reported that Kolisi will be sidelined for 'several' weeks.
He will most likely miss Racing 92's Top 14 encounters with Toulon, Castres and Clermont, as well as the Champions Cup Round of 16 encounter with Toulouse.
Kolisi and fellow Bok double World Cup winner Cheslin Kolbe (also a hand injury) are expected to be back in time for the start of South Africa's international season in July.
