Yachvili to lead new Les Bleus

Marc Lievremont has revealed the composition of the France team will face an Argentina XV on Friday, and has named fourteen changes from the side that were humiliated by South Africa last weekend.

Only flank Wenceslas Lauret, who made his international debut in Cape Town, is maintained from the side that lost 42-17 against the Springboks.

Veteran scrumhalf Dimitri Yachvili, who comes in for young No.9 Morgan Parra, will captain the side in the absence of Thierry Dusautoir.

It was expected that Lievremont would make wholesale changes for the tour match in order to give a rest to the tired first-choice stars.

But after strongly criticizing some members of the squad, Friday’s starting XV will know they could play themselves into contention for a spot in the Test side to play the Pumas on June 26.

Team:

France XV: 15 Jerome Porical, 14 Marc Andreu, 13 Florian Fritz, 12 Lionel Mazars, 11 Julien Malzieu, 10 David Skrela, 9 Dimitri Yachvili, 8 Louis Picamoles, 7 Gregory Lamboley, 6 Wenceslas Lauret, 5 Pascale Papé, 4 Julien Pierre, 3 Luc Ducalcon, 2 Guilhem Guirado, 1 Fabien Barcella.
Replacements: 16 Dimitri Szarzewski, 17 Jean-Baptiste Poux, 18 Romian Millo-Chluski, 19 Julien Bonnaire, 20 Morgan Parra, 21 François Trinh-Duc, 22 Aurélien Rougerie.

Venue: Estadio de Vélez Sarsfield, La Plata.
