Ireland add another name to injury list
INJURY UPDATE: Ireland revealed that Garry Ringrose has been ruled out of the remainder of the international window with a facial injury.
Ringrose broke his jaw after colliding with wing Edoardo Padovani's knee in Dublin in the 50-17 bonus-point win over Italy on Saturday.
The 25-year-old centre is a pivotal figure in the Ireland team – he even stepped in to play scrumhalf when Conor Murray was sin-binned early in the match.
Ringrose is s set for six weeks on the sideline and will play no part in the Autumn Test window.
Ulster scrumhalf John Cooney, who was one of the most notable omissions from Andy Farrell's 35-man squad, has joined the squad.
The scrumhalf comes in as cover for Jamison Gibson Park.
The New Zealand-born Gibson-Park reported hamstring tightness after making his debut in Saturday's win over Italy.
Meanwhile, the good news for Ireland is that Keith Earls is completing his rehabilitation programme and could be available for selection.
Earls was ruled out of the initial squad by a back injury.
