Kearney: This is our best chance

Ireland fullback and European PLayer of the Year, Rob Kearney, believes his side have as good a chance as any to beat the All Blacks on Saturday.

Ireland tackle New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland, and while they have never beaten the All Blacks in 24 attempts, the Irish remains a strong team.

At last year's World Cup was an example of how good Ireland can be when they get things right, as they defeated Australian in the group stages.

Coming up against the reigning world champions is more than enough motivation for Ireland to go in search of a historic victory.

"(Eden Park) is our best chance because it is our next chance. And if the first Test doesn't go our way then the one after that will be our best chance again after that," hKearney told PA Sport.

Kearney added that the Irish team believe they can win every game and beating Australia last year was simply an example of that.

"There wasn't a huge element of surprise for us as a group of players (in beating Australia). What's important for us is that we keep trying to reproduce that form," he said.

"We set a bar there in that game, a standard, and it is important for us to keep matching that."

"It was a huge occasion for us to turn over Australia in a World Cup.

"As players, we always believe that we can match it with the best teams in the world when we turn up and we play good rugby. As a player and as a team, you have to believe that."
