Second-row blow for Ireland
NEWS: Ireland have been dealt a Covid-19 setback ahead of their Six Nations match against Italy.
Ireland lock Iain Henderson has been ruled out of contention for Sunday's match against Italy after testing positive for the Coronavirus.
The Ulster captain missed the opening Six Nations against Wales due to an ankle injury.
But, returned and was featured off the bench against France in round two.
The IRFU released an official statement confirming the news: "Henderson produced a positive COVID result during the routine testing of squad and management upon arrival into camp on Monday.
"The positive result has since been confirmed. Iain is well and has left Ireland camp to complete his period of isolation at home.
"There are no other positive results within the group and the squad will continue to test across the week."
Tadhg Beirne, James Ryan, Kieran Treadwell and Ryan Baird are the other second rows in Andy Farrell’s squad.
