Wild Knights are All-Japan Champions

It was clear from the start who the winner would be when wings Tomoki Kitagawa and Kentaro Kodama scored tries for the Wild Knights.

Rikiya Matsuda goaled a penalty for Teikyo but Akihito Yamada scored a third try for the Wild Knights who, with conversions by Berrick Barnes, went into half-time leading 21-13.

In the second half the Wild Knights scored two quick tries before Teikyo got their first, followed by two more for the victors. A consolation try for Teikyo ended the scoring.

The Wild Knights' tries in the first half were the creations of their backs but it was their forwards who manufactured the second half's tries.

After the match Wild Knights' coach Robbie Deans said: “It's a great way to conclude the year for us,. It was a tough game of rugby and very fast, and I would like to acknowledge the effort of Teikyo University.”

For three Wild Knights players this was sayonara, JP Pietersen is off to Leicester Tigers, Ben McCalman home to Australia and Hayden Parker home to New Zealand.
