Bright Spanish win

The young Spanish Leones surprised Namibia with a 33-20 win in Estadio Principes in Palma, Mallorca on Saturday afternoon.

Namibia are going to the 2011 World Cup; Spain are not. The Saturday before the touring Namibians lost to Portugal who are also not going to the World Cup.

Namibia were without their captain Jacques Burger, who is a star for Saracens while the Spaniards had very few caps in their who side. The whole Spanish side had a total of 93 caps, of whine two players total 55 caps.

Spain had a great first half, scoring 24 of their 33 points, though at one stage Namibia had fought back to 10-8.

Mathieu Peluchon opened the scoring with a penalty and by half-time Spain were ahead 24-8. Their only points in the second half were three penalty gaols while the Biltongboere got two tries, helped by the sin-binning of  Sebastián Rouet just before half-time and then Federico Negrillo in the second half.
