All Black evicted from MCG for bad behaviour

NEWS: Young All Black superstar Jordie Barrett has found himself on the wrong side of the law for a second time.

According to New Zealand media outlets, the 22-year-old was evicted from the cricket Test between Australia and New Zealand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground for bad behaviour.

According to reports on the Stuff and NZ Herald websites, Victoria police removed two men from the cricket ground on Saturday - during the third day of the Test between the two Trans-Tasman rivals - for "bad behaviour"..

“The 22-year-old [Barrett] and [an unnamed] 23-year-old, both New Zealand nationals, have been evicted and have incurred a 24-hour ban from the MCG,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman told Stuff.

When asked what the behavioural issues were, the spokeswoman said she didn't have the "specifics but it is usually some form of behaviour that has breached the peace, nothing criminal."

Eyewitnesses said security at the ground were escorting people out "who had sculled two or more beers".

Barrett is currently in the rugby off-season, after being part of the All Blacks' World Cup squad that were beaten by England in a disappointing semifinal exit.

This is not the first time the 17-times capped All Black' utility back has found himself in trouble for an alcohol-related incident.

Last year, police were called after an allegedly intoxicated Barrett was found eating a McDonald’s burger in the wrong flat at 05.00 in the morning after a Hurricanes game.

"I was not intoxicated," he said at the time, apologising for the incident at.

"I can't say I'm embarrassed by what's happened, I'm just disappointed with the events that have unfolded. I don't believe I've caused any harm to anyone.

"It was a human error, I walked into the wrong flat and then we left.

"I had a couple of drinks in town with mates and basically I can recall everything that happened that night."
