Four cited after north-south battle
Four New Zealand players were cited after an incident in Sunday's North versus South match in Dunedin.
Several players became involved in a fracas 32 minutes into the first half of the match won 32-24 by the South XV.
Citing Commissioner Mike O'Leary has cited North scrumhalf Brendon Leonard (Chiefs) under law 10.4(e) for an alleged dangerous tackle on South hooker and captain Jason Rutledge (Highlanders).
North's hooker Dane Coles (Hurricanes) has also been cited under law 10.4(e) for his alleged part in the same tackle on Rutledge. Coles has been cited for a second offence, under law 10.4(a) for foul play after allegedly striking South's centre Kendrick Lynn (Highlanders).
Kendrick Lynn and North's lock Filo Paulo (Blues) have both been cited under 10.4(a) for alleged retaliating punches on Dane Coles and South lock Tom Donnelly (Crusaders) respectively.
All four players will face judicial hearings to be conducted by teleconference with a Judicial Officer this week.
