'He developed an infection': All Black to miss an entire season

NEWS: All Black centre Braydon Ennor will only return to the rugby field in the second half of 2024.

His Super Rugby Pacific franchise, the Crusaders, revealed the news in a statement on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old suffered a serious knee injury while on duty for the All Blacks in August this year.

Since then, he has suffered a further setback and will play no part in the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season.

"Braydon Ennor injured his knee in August while playing in the All Blacks versus Australia Bledisloe test in Dunedin," said a Crusaders statement.

"He underwent ACL reconstruction the same month and, unfortunately, he developed an infection in his knee which affected the early stages of his rehab.

"While the infection was successfully treated, his expected return to play has been altered as a result.

"He will return to play in the second half of 2024."
