McAlister finished with the All Blacks

According to the French newspaper La Dépêche, Luke McAlister - the All Black inside back now playing for Toulouse - has declared himself finished with the All Blacks.

The newspaper says that McAlister's adaptation to his new life in Toulouse has been speedy. Even though everything has not been quite as easy as it seems from the outside. He says he has now definitely turned the All Blacks page.

McAlister is quoted as saying: "For me I am finished with the All Blacks. I was picked for 30 Tests and am 28 years of age and it was time to leave."

The former Blues and Auckland star added: "The choice to come here [Toulouse] was mine.

"I made the choice last April and I am very happy with my choice. For me it was important to be here at the start of the season and I was able to get a release from my Auckland contract.

"I am now on a new course of life. I have no regrets at all."
