PICTURE: Bok flyer provides update after surgery

SPOTLIGHT: Springbok flyer Kurt-Lee Arendse took to social media to provide an update after he underwent emergency cheekbone surgery on Sunday.

The 27-year-old suffered the fractured cheekbone on the half-hour mark of the Bulls’ hard-earned 30-23 United Rugby Championship quarterfinal win over Benetton at Loftus Versfeld.

Arendse scored two tries in the win before he left the field.

On Monday, Arendse said the operation was successful in a social media post.

Fellow Bok Canan Moodie underwent finger surgery this past Friday.

The Bulls are also without a third World Cup winner, loose forward Marco van Staden.

He is recovering from a troublesome knee.
