Scotland to face NZ, Aus and Samoa in November

Samoa will open the Scots' end-of-year programme on the weekend of November 11, with New Zealand arriving at Edinburgh's Murrayfield ground the following weekend before the visit of Australia concludes the Dark Blues' international programme for 2017.

Scotland have never beaten New Zealand in more than a hundred years of trying.

Their best results against the All Blacks in 30 Tests dating back to 1905 have been two draws, the Scots holding New Zealand to a 0-0 stalemate at Murrayfield in 1964 before a 25-25 encounter in Edinburgh in 1983.

Three years ago, the last match between the two sides saw New Zealand win 24-16 at Murrayfield.

But with Glasgow having just thrashed English giants Leicester 43-0 in the European Champions Cup, hopes are high that many of the players involved can take that form onto the international stage in the Six Nations.

Scotland begin their Six Nations campaign at home to Ireland on February 4.
