'Tahs turn down Scotland

Scotland's rugby tour of the South Pacific was cut from four matches to three after the New South Wales Waratahs withdrew from a scheduled fixture on June 10 in Sydney.

"We have had confirmation from the Waratahs that due to injuries and the requirements of the Wallabies squad they would be unable to fulfill the fixture," Scotland manager Gavin Scott said on Friday.

"We have looked into alternatives but, unfortunately, nothing else fits into our tour schedule."

Scotland's itinerary was left with three tests against Australia (June 5), Fiji (June 16) and Samoa (June 23).
