Alberton the venue for Bok comeback

Combrink's return will see him start for the Golden Lions against Welwitschias in the new Domestic Provincial tournament which replaced the 2016 Currie Cup Qualifying competition.

Combrink, 26, sustained a fracture in his shoulder joint during the Springboks’ final Test against Wales in Cardiff in November.

He underwent surgery in December and has been out of action for five months.

A star performer in the Super Rugby 2016 season for the Lions, the franchise would be eager to see him back on the park.

*Meanwhile, also using the Domestic Provincial tournament to set up his return is the Sharks No.8, Keegan Daniel.

Daniel will run out in the starting XV against the Griffons on Saturday after a lengthy spell on the sidelines for injury rehabilitation.

Daniel sustained a fractured radius in his forearm during Super Rugby pre-season friendly aginst the Cheetahs. The 33-year-old undergone surgery to correct the fracture which left him out of the Sharks Super Rugby team.
