'Thank you World Rugby': Rassie set to return to work
VIDEO: Rassie Erasmus is set to resume his duties as South Africa Director of Rugby this week and his daughters couldn't be happier.
Erasmus was handed a two-month suspension by World Rugby on November 17, 2021, following his infamous 62-minute video.
In the video, he criticised match officials after the first Test between the Springboks and British & Irish Lions.
The two-month is set to come to an end this week, but the World Cup-winning coach is still banned from ‘all match-day activities’, including coaching, contact with match officials and media duties until September 30, 2022.
SA Rugby was also fined £20,000 for the incident.
Erasmus, who has been posting humourous updates during his two-month ban, some of which appeared to poke fun at World Rugby, Tweeted a video to mark the occasion.
This time his daughters joined the festivities, expressing their gratitude for their dad’s suspension only lasting two months.
“We just want to say thank you so much for only making it two months.
"We are so tired of having him at home.
"We have received enough life lessons and advice about everything.
"It’s enough and I think it’s time for him to go back.
"We are grateful that the day has arrived for him to go back to work tomorrow.”
