Towering lock on his way to the Sharks
NEWS: Jason Jenkins is on his way back to South Africa after it was confirmed that the giant lock has signed on the dotted line.
The Sharks confirmed that they have locked in the 28-year-old Jenkins for the next three years.
This is yet another big-name signing announced by the Sharks in recent weeks and a clear effort to get back to their winning ways.
Most recently it was confirmed that two Lions players, Jordan Hendrikse and Manuel Tshituka were on their way to Durban while Bok world champions Andre Esterhuizen and Trevor Nyakane are also touted to boost John Plumtree's struggling side.
The Durban outfit has endured a dreadful campaign under Plumtree and their poor run has continued despite a valiant effort.
The 28-year-old Jenkins joined Leinster in 2022 after a short stint with Munster where he only had one appearance due to injuries.
He started his junior career at the Bulls and in 2017 he decided to make the move to Japan where he represented Verblitz.
November 2017 saw him being named Super Rugby Forward of the Year at the Bulls awards ceremony.
In May 2018, the Bulls confirmed that Jenkins signed a new deal to remain with the club until 2019.
Later that month he received his first call-up to the Springbok squad for the 2018 June Internationals.
