Bulls lose Sadie, gain Stegmann

Bulls centre Johann Sadie will miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season through injury, while there is good news for flank Deon Stegmann.

Sadie suffered a grade three ligament tear to his ankle and will be out of action for six weeks, Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed on Monday.

Openside flank Stegmann has been declared fit and available for the clash against the Sharks this weekend after fully recovering from a broken arm that he sustained during the Australasian tour.

Following their bruising encounter with the Cheetahs on the weekend Bjorn Basson, Dewald Potgieter, Dean Greyling, Flip van der Merwe, Jacques Potgieter and Pierre Spies will not train on Monday due to minor ailments, but will be back on the training pitch on Tuesday.

Back at training this week after sitting out for most of the season through injury is promising young prop Rossouw de Klerk, while former SA U20 hooker Bongi Mbonambi will be back at training next week having recovered from an ankle strain.

The long term casualties for the Bulls remain flyhalf Lionel Cronjè (four weeks) and lock Fudge Mabeta (three months).
