Soweto's own BokTown

The South African Rugby Union is doubling the fun for Soweto residents when the Springboks hit town later this month with a special BokTown at Orlando Stadium

The Boks play New Zealand just up the road at Soccer City on October 6, but fans who can't make it to the match have the chance to join in the celebration for just R40.

Gates will open at 12.00.

Local SAMA award-winning artist DJ Sbu, rap and hip hop legend Pro Kid and SA's hottest kwaito sensation at the moment, Brickz will get the party started before the Springboks versus All Blacks match will be broadcast live on the giant screen from 17.00.

"We really wanted to take the Boks to Soweto in the most significant way we could and make it as an unforgettable experience for as many people as we possibly could," said Jurie Roux, SARU CEO.

"Fan parks have proved very popular with sports fans in South Africa and around the world and we expect taking the rugby party to Soweto to be a huge hit."

All other BokTown venues around the country will also be operational on the day of the match at Montecasino, Silverstar Casino, Trademarx, Suncoast and Barynard Theatre (Cape Town).

Tickets to the Orlando BokTown cost R40 (adults) and R10 (children under 12 years).

They are available from all Computicket outlets at Shoprite, Checkers and House & Home stores, or by telephone (0861-915-8000) and online at www.computicket.com.
