College to Climb a Mountain

Maritzburg College leave Pietermaritzburg and climb up the steep hill to beautiful Hilton College with its expansive campus. There they will play rugby matches, culminating in the match on the Gilfillan Field just before lunch.

It is an old match, first played perhaps in 1875, certainly since 1902.

College have most 1st XV encounters, but this year Hilton have been having slightly the better season.
