Independent Schools Play Rugby Together

The biennial Independent Schools Rugby Festival starts at Kingswood College in Grahamstown on Saturday, 23 June 2018.

There are altogether 20 matches - seven each on Saturday and Monday and six on Wednesday, 27 June 2018.

Kingswood were the first hosts of the Festival in 1983 and this will be their third time of hosting.

The Festival is old by the standards of this sort of get-together. The biennial Cape Schools Festival started in 1980, the annual Saints Easter Festival in 1984 with Easter Festivals at St John's (1995), KES (2002), Krugersdorp High (2003) and Kearsney (2007) to follow.

The players taking part are Under-18.

The teams taking part come from various parts of the country.

Hilton are unbeaten; their match with Bishops could be particularly interesting.
