APPOINTMENTS: There is still a great deal happening this weekend even if May, the PRO14 and the Premiership have closed down. Many eyes will be on France.
In France, there is the final of the Top 14 between Montpellier and Castres. Jérôme Garcès has been appointed to referee the final, his second after the 2013 final. The Top 14 final, dating back to 1892, is one of rugby's really grand occasions.
Down in southwest France, World Rugby's Under-20 Championship starts.
And the June window opens a chink to allow Wales and South Africa to play in Washington DC, USA. As a result, no South African teams will be playing in this weekend's Super Rugby.
And the Sevens Series heads for Twickenham, the penultimate round of the series with Fiji and South Africa fighting for top spot.
