Schools Top 20 - 31 July 2019

RANKINGS: The result that shakes the tree this week is Affies' defeat at the hands of Pretoria Boys High, something that has not happened since 2008 and the biggest margin of defeat since 1943. It was a massive surprise.

It was not the only surprise. Dr EG Jansen have not been having a great season but they beat Menlopark, who have been having a good season, and by a clear margin. Dr EG Jansen have now played against six Top 20 teams, but this is their only victory

As a result of those two matches, Affies and Menlopark drop, apart from Paul Roos, Boland Landbou and Grey PE, the other Top 20 teams of last week all won and have the benefit of the Boys High and EG victories.

This week there is the huge Interschools in Paarl when two meets three.
