Good answer, next question!

Shaun Edwards has hit back angrily at the suggestion that Wales head coach Warren Gatland is under pressure due to his dismal record against the Southern Hemisphere heavyweights.

This follows after Gatland brushed off a question about the pressure he's under at the end of last weekend's 16-34 defeat to New Zealand, although his body language could not hide his disgust.

Following the loss to the All Blacks, reports in Welsh media suggested that Gatland is under pressure to beat the Springboks this weekend.

Wales have failed to beat any of the Southern Hemisphere's big three in the last 22 attempts and have only won one in 27 games since Gatland took over as coach in January 2008.

Their only victory came six years ago against Australia.

Wales have reportedly also complained to the BBC about some of the questions asked to Gatland, with The Guardian having reported that the Welsh Rugby Union were unhappy about the media's behaviour.

Gatland responded to the question posed by the reporter Sonja McLaughlan by saying: "And you are putting me under pressure as well; thanks."

It was the end of the interview and he walked away.

Wales are also reportedly unhappy the first question in the coach's pre-match interview was whether he thought the haka gave New Zealand an unfair advantage.

They have not asked that McLaughlan be replaced for Saturday's match against South Africa in Cardiff and there is no suggestion Gatland will refuse to be interviewed by her.
