The 27-year-old hooker has been on two previous Springbok tours, in 2013 and 2016, but never played any matches. His only chance to don the green and gold was against England Saxons for the South African 'A' side in 2016.

With more time on the field and avoidance of any injury, Ntubeni has the capabilities of representing the country at the highest level, and in the process drape his Springbok blazer over his shoulders.
