As the game evolves, the roles of the forward pack - especially the tight five - has changed. The expectation is now that the tight five need to clean out the rucks, be the first at the breakdown and generally make the first tackle in tight situations.

Current Western Province coach John Dobson was questioned by Howie Kahn about the trends in the game and after touching on how he watches the November internationals, he believes that the workload placed on the big boys is a key factor in slowing the defensive line speed of a team.

Dobbo appeared on Late Tackle and was as charismatic as ever, sharing some funny stories and providing unique insight into all things rugby as he takes a leaf out of his father's - Paul Dobson - book.
