Player Ratings: Full Bloom

England could only manage to score three tries, to Australia's four, but Owen Farrell's boot was in ruthless mode as he slotted six penalties and three conversions.

We rate the England players!

15 Mike Brown

He has the ability to tear defences apart with ball in hand but can be found wanting on defence.

7/10

14 Anthony Watson

He threatened when he had the ball but that was not often enough to have a major impact on the match.

6/10

13 Jonathan Joseph

His defensive effort matched his attacking prowess. A good start to the tour for him.

7/10

12 Luther Burrell

Offered very little on attack and barely did anything on defence.

3/10

11 Marland Yarde

Another player who never set things alight but gave a steady performance, although, his try came at a crucial time.

6/10

10 Owen Farrell

Will slot a 50 metre penalty for you at 3am if you asked him. While he was sublime off the kicking tee, he offered very little on attack and his defence needs to be a lot sharper.

7/10

9 Ben Youngs

Kept his forwards moving with quality service and unleashed the backline when he needed to. Controlled things nicely and made informed decisions.

8/10

8 Billy Vunipola

The usually robust loose forward seemed to hide a little in some parts of the game but should be pleased with his defensive duties.

6/10

7 James Haskell

The stand-out loose forward in the match, it was as if he could do no wrong. His effort and defensive work rate was surreal.

9/10

6 Chris Robshaw

In a match that needed warriors to put their hands up, Robshaw opted to look busy without having much impact on anything.

4/10

5 George Kruis

Defensively brilliant but provided little when handed the ball.

5/10

4 Maro Itoje

One of the best locks in the world at the moment. He was all over the Wallabies at the breakdown.

8/10

3 Dan Cole

Had Scott Sio in his pocket at every scrum while he was no schmuck on defense either.

7/10

2 Dylan Hartley (captain)

Brilliant leadership by the temperamental hooker allowed his team mates to shine while he dug in to do the hard yards.

7/10

1 Mako Vunipola

Used all of his frame to dominate Greg Holmes at scrum time.

6/10

Replacements:

16 Luke Cowan-Dickie (on for Hartley, 72)

Not enough time to be rated.

17 Matt Mullan (on for M Vunipola, 66)

His only contribution came on defence where he made a few tackles.

5/10

18 Paul Hill (on for Cole, 66)

Offered very little to the winning cause.

4/10

19 Joe Launchbury (on for B Vunipola, 72)

Not enough time to be rated.

20 Courtney Lawes (on for Kruis, 60)

Another player whose only contribution to the team was on defence.

5/10

21 Danny Care (on for Youngs, 70)

Not enough time to be rated.

22 George Ford (on for Burrell, 29)

Showed what he can produce on attack and his defensive work rate was highly impressive

7/10

23 Jack Nowell (on for Watson, 70)

Despite grabbing the final try, he was not on the field long enough to be rated.
