VIDEO: Springbok's unique farewell sets Internet ablaze
WATCH as Springbok loose forward Uzair Cassiem set the Internet ablaze with his unique farewell message to Welsh region Scarlets.
The dramatic footage shows Cassiem, in full kit, and his wife dancing in slow motion to classical music on the Parc y Scarlets pitch.
"Saying farewell, the only way I know how…," Cassiem said in the Twitter post.
"It’s been an amazing 3 years with so many memories that I get to treasure.
"You all have been so welcoming to my family and myself. I can’t thank you enough for that.
"Diolch Scarlets! You all are one of a kind!"
Capped eight times in 2016 and 2017, he started out with the Lions in Johannesburg and played a handful of games for them, while also making three appearances for their Gauteng neighbours the Falcons.
He then moved to Nelspruit and made 70-odd appearances for the Pumas, before joining the Cheetahs where he made 50 appearances and became a Springbok.
In 2018 he joined Scarlets and will move across the channel to France, where he has signed for Bayonne.
