Four schools teams
The South African Schools selectors have chosen four teams SA Schools, SA Academy, which was chosen from the Academy Week in George, and two regional side, North and South.
South Western Districts and Free State whom played in the main match of the Coca Cola Craven Week at Affies in Pretoria have respectively three and two players in the national school's team.
The Free State and Western Province have five players each in the South African Academy-side which was chosen at the Academy Week in George. These two teams faced one another in the main match of the week at Hoërskool Outeniqua in George.
Former Springbok lock, Niel Hugo's son Daniel was chosen for the South team. The South African school's lock, Niel Kapp's father Johan played first class rugby for the Western Province and the South Western Districts Eagles in a long career. Riaan Britz, fullback of the South team, is the brother of Springbok Gerrie who is now playing for Perpignan in France while his two other brothers Bärend and Lodie both plays first class rugby. Ernst Dinkelmann, inside centre of the South African Academy team's grandfather also played for the Springboks but as a lock.
