Limpopo BB demolish Border CD

The Limpopo Blue Bulls recorded a big 53-0 win over Border Country Districts on Day Three of the Craven Week tournament in Welkom on Wednesday afternoon.

Limpopo - who scored nine tries to nil - ran into a 24-0 half-time lead, with No.7 flanker Roy-Ramon Auret grabbing a hat-trick of tries either side of half-time.

The Pretoria outfit were superb up front and laid the perfect platform for their young talented backs to trouble their opponents.

Flanker Auret was one of the standout performers for the Limpopo Blue Bulls and rightly walked away with the Coca-Cola Man of the Match Award.

Fellow loose forward, No.8 Lieb Cornelius van Tonder, opened the scoring for Limpopo in the sixth minute, but Auret's three tries - in an eight-minute blitz either side of the break - effectively knocked the stuffing out of the Border CD team.

Inside centre Arno Venter kicked just four conversions for the victors, as the Men from Limpopo continued to pile on the points in the second half and more than doubled their score after the break - despite having fullback Kefentse Mahlo (from Ben Vorster) yellow carded in the 55th minute.
