The home side found themselves trailing 8-10 at the interval before outscoring their visitors 14-12 in the second half.
*In Upington, Duineveld were forced to work extremely hard to claim an 11-7 victory over hosts Upington, after the match remained scoreless at the half-time break. The result sees Duineveld get their revenge for their 2015 Classic Clash loss on their home ground.
*Hoogenhout Hoërskool, better known as Hoogies, have defied history by securing a 35-34 win over Ermelo in their annual Classic Clash on Saturday.
*Elsewhere, Piketberg had to fight till the end to secure a 20-15 victory over a resilient Schoonspuit Secondary School.
*While in Oudtshoorn - this year's Struisies day - Outeniqua emulated last year's result by beating Oudtshoorn 50-7 on Saturday.
Upington 7-11 Duineveld
In what was ultimately an extremely tense and hard fought Classic Clash, Upington dominated possession and territory in the first half, which forced Duineveld to defend for their lives.
And they did just that as they kept the home side scoreless at half-time. Upington had a few missed penalties which came back to haunt them at the end of the game.
Duineveld began to settle in the second half and with more possession, began to put their stamp on the match. The visitors opened the scoring when Connie Conradie slotted two penalties to hand Duineveld a 6-0 lead.
That lead grew a few minutes later when after some intense pressure on Upington's defence, Stefan Hanekom scored a crucial try. Unfortunately, Conradie failed to add the conversion but Duineveld held an 11-0 lead heading into the final minutes of the game.
Upington saved themselves from being shut out by grabbing a try through Janno Lategan in the closing minutes of the game. Iwan Lombard slammed home the conversion to reduce the scoreline to 7-11.
That proved to be the final points of the match as Duineveld bagged the victory.

Sentraal 22-22 Jim Fouché
It was all Jim Fouché in the first half as a Ryno Coetzee try was converted by Henco Venter to hand Jim Fouche the lead. Venter then stepped up to slot a penalty to take the visitors' tally to 10 points. Sentraal were not going to be outdone though and kept themselves in touching distance thanks to a Marko Rademeyer try and Jacques Mulder penalty.
Jim Fouché led 10-8 at the half-time interval.
Andrew Vorster and Francois Maree crossed the try line for Jim Fouché, and with Venter slotting both conversions, it took their tally to 22 points. The tense match was far from over as Sentraal bagged two tries of their own through Francois Pieterse and Ruan van der Walt.
Mulder converted both tries to level the score at 22-all and that is how it finished as both teams had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Piketberg 20-15 Schoonspruit Secondary School
With 5 000 people in attendance, the match started with Piketberg in full control.
They opened the scoring through speedy wing Alex Ratilainen, with Nathan Williams adding the extras, giving Piketberg an early 7-0 lead.
Piketberg extended their lead with two additional tries through captain Ferdie Jonker and Burdty Joubert.
Just before halftime, Schoonspruit registered their first points on the board through a Persual Abdol penalty.
The half time score was 17-3 in favour of Piketberg.
Heading into the second half, Schoonspruit came back rejuvenated. The team started building momentum and their efforts were awarded with a Nathan Solomons try. It gave the visitors a new set of confidence.
Piketberg could not find a gap in the Schoonspruit's defence. They only manage to secure a Williams penalty, extending their lead to 20-8.
The pressure was on in the last five minutes of the game with Schoonspruit on the attack in pursuit of a try.
Eventually, Schoonspruit broke though the defence and scored the final converted try of the match. But it was little too late as Piketberg held on to secure a 20-15 victory.

Hoogenhout Hoërskool 35-34 Ermelo Hoërskool
The teams were evenly matched in the opening few minutes but Emerlo’s Janny Eloff managed to grab the game’s first try. It was converted by Ruan Grobler, to give Ermelo an early 7-0 lead.
It was not long before Ermelo added another try through Gift Ngwenya.
Minutes later, Hoogenhout were awarded a penalty. DC Saaiman stepped up, kept his nerve and slotted it over successfully to register Hoogenhout's first points of the game.
The visitors hit back and added an additional converted try. With three early tries, it looked like history was going to repeat itself.
However, two late first half converted tries by Hoogenhout, narrowed the visitors’ lead to just one point.
The score remained 21-20 in Ermelo’s favour at the break.
In contrast to the first half, the second half started at a slow pace. With both teams gridlocked in a battle for possession.
The first try of the second half was scored by Ermelo’s flank Qunisa Hubile and converted by Ruan Grobler, while Hoogenhout's attack manage to score two vital tries – which ultimately sealed the win.

Oudtshoorn Hoërskool 7-50 Outeniqua Hoërskool
Outeniqua were on the attack from the first whistle and were awarded an early penalty, which JP Duvenage had no problem converting.
Soon after the penalty, Outeniqua visited the poles through a try. The hosts’ defence stood tall but failed to keep out the Kwaggas' attack.
Just before half-time two additional tries were added by Outeniqua which saw them head into the half-time break with a 17-0 lead.
Oudsthoorn came into the second half with extra steam and began to attack. They broke through the Outeniqua defence and planted the ball behind the white line.
However, the ref spotted an incident of obstruction and the try was ruled out.
Oudsthoorn again managed to regroup and put on yet another gutsy attack. This time, their efforts were awarded.
Oudtshoorn's fullback Jaylin Pretorius crossed the line to register their first points on the scoreboard. Flyhalf Larry Paulsen's conversion was successful and the score was 24-7 in favour of Outeniqua.
The Kwaggas extended the lead by adding four tries, which moved the score to 50-7 to secure their sixth consecutive victory against Oudsthoorn.
