Another Good Day at Iqhawe

The week, being played at the Bill Jardine Stadium in Roodepoort, is for provincial Under-15 teams and is in its fourth week.

Four teams are still unbeaten after two matches - Griquas, Pumas, South Western Districts and Western Province.

Matches are played on three days with the teams regarded as playing the best rugby playing the final match. This year's final match will be between Western Province and South Western Districts.

Again it was a day of lots of scoring. On Day 1, 259 points were scored, on Day 2 240, though there were some closer encounters.

The closest match was between Western Province and the Golden Lions. The Golden Lions led 8-0 early on and then Western Province scored two quick tries to lead 12-8. A penalty to each side ended the scoring.

South Western Districts won their match against the Boland side which had had a 71-0 victory on Monday. South Western Districts scored three tries and led 19-0 at half-time and then kept to Boland to just a single try in the second half.
