Captain's profile: Francois van Biljon

Rooiskool captain Francois van Biljon has never lost a game against their rivals Blouskool and is determined to keep it that way on Saturday.

The accomplished flyhalf has played for the first team at Afrikaanse Hoerskool for three years, and having played at two Craven Week's for the Griffons he will be expected to lead the way this weekend.

Van Biljon has signed to play for the Cheetahs next year and will study Sports Science at Kovsies but right now he is focused on the FNB Classic Clash against his school's old rivals.

Rooiskool have only lost two games this season, but Van Biljon is adamant that they will not take the opposition lightly on Saturday.

"It is not going to be easy, it is always close between the sides but I think my boys will do it," he said.

The Rooiskool team will take great encouragement from their dramatic 17-13 victory which was sealed in the last minute last year, and with Van Biljon having kicked eight out of nine kicks for a personal haul of 23 points out of 28 last week they are brimming with confidence.

"We have got some big forwards that we want to get involved in the game, so it will be up to me to gain territory because our scrums and line-outs have been very strong this season," he said.

The Rooiskool skipper is wary of the opposition who he believes will come at them all guns blazing.

"They have got nothing to lose so they will give it everything and we will have to defend well if we want to win this one," he said.
