Captain's profile: JC Pretorius
Pretorius represented the Junior BlitzBoks (Springbok Sevens Under-18) in Samoa and returned from that tournament with a gold medal around his neck. Over and above that, he has played in the 2014 Grant Khomo Week as well as the 2015 Craven Week.
HTS will need all his experience to come to the fore and lead a young team in their huge Classic Clash derby against arch rivals Middelburg High School.
"We have a young team this year and have been hit with some injuries but we always make sure that the guy filling in is up to standard. We need to be at our best because this is always a great game and although we have won the game the last couple of years, this will always be a tough game.
"Having played in the Grant Khomo Week, the Craven Week and having represented South Africa at U-18 Sevens level, the one thing that stands out to me is that when you return to your school, you always return a better player.
"Those tournaments are really great experiences as it helped me to develop my game and compete against the best in South Africa and the world's best junior Sevens players," Pretorius said.
The 18-year-old flank is in his second year of representing the "Rooibulle" at first XV level and is hoping his side will be remembered at the end of this game, despite their season getting off to a rocky start.
However, Middelburg HS will be no easy walkover.
"They [Middelburg HS] have some flair in their backline and we need to be in their faces all the time with good line speed. But if we do that, we will still need to keep calm, keep our heads down and work hard. The school and all its pupils need us to fight to the end.
"We had an up and down season so far but we are working hard in training to finish the season as a side who people will remember. Our school has a great tradition and I am honoured to be part of that tradition by leading the team," he added.
The explosive, attack-minded fetcher is really enthusiastic about leading his team with fire and is not looking too far into the future when it comes to his rugby career.
"I am trying to remain focussed on leading HTS to a good season and after that, I can concentrate on playing Craven Week and everything exciting that follows," he stated.
