Captain's profile: Showan Moos

That 2015 victory was the highlight of the 18-year-old's career and is closely followed by being named captain of his school's team.

"It is a big honour for me and one of the proudest moments of my life [to be named captain]. I have worked hard on my game and it is a real highlight to be rewarded like this at the end of my schooling career.

"I believe a captain has to lead by example, to work the hardest on the field and hope the team will also do their best. I always put the team first and do my best for my team as well as trying to motivate the rest of the players to do the same," Moos said.

Things are looking good for the flank and his charges as he feels they are at their peak and are positive about the match, even though he expects a close contest.

"The season has been good for us as we did really well against teams that have been much stronger than us in previous years. So because of that, I feel like this is the team with the most experience in all the different facets of the game.

"We are very positive and work together really well as a team and ultimately that is what is most important. They [Swartberg] are a very strong team and I expect nothing less than a very tough, closely contested match.

"Swartberg are always well prepared and they always bring their best game. We will need to work hard because it is not going to be easy. This is the last Classic Clash for most of us, so I would like us to do our best and have fun," he added.

With his schooling career coming to an end, Moos is planning on studying Sports Science upon matriculating.
