Captain's Profile: Tiaan van Wyk

This will be the second  Classic Clash between the two sides with 2015’s encounter being one-way traffic as Landboudal claimed an emphatic 43-3 victory. Being part of last year's victorious team, the 18-year-old will not take Augsburg too lightly this year.

"Augsburg has a very good team this year, and they will seek revenge. It is going to be a very tough match for us, travelling away from home," Van Wyk said.

In terms of the team representing Landboudal, the captain stated: "Our team is a relatively young group. Out of the 15 being fielded, only five are matriculants,"

Landboudal will rely heavily on their senior players, and the captain acknowledged his vital role in the team. Van Wyk's strength as a player and his ability as a captain has to be its very best.
