Easter Festivals - Thursday's Results 2019
Maundy Thursday, 18 April 2019, was the first day of six big Easter Tournaments in South Africa.
Teams from various parts of the country, Zimbabwe, Australia and Namibia, are pitted against each other and there are mostly excellent match-ups. In fact mismatches are rare.
The closest finish was undoubtedly when Glenwood of Durban played Dr EG Jansen of Boksburg. Time was up when the Glenwood fullback scored in the left corner, to move Glenwood just one point behind EG. And then Glenwood kicked a soaring conversion from touch for a 27-26 victory.
These are the results of three festivals in Johannesburg, one near Durban, one in Krugersdorp and one in Benoni. The next matches are on Holy Saturday when King David of Linksfield will not be playing as that is the day of Passover, Pesach.
